What do we do and who are our clients?
Ludwig & Van Dam Franchise Lawyers is the market leader in the Netherlands in the field of franchise law and other partnerships (e.g. agency and distribution). Our attorneys publish in various professional journals and literature; regularly make the newspaper and provide seminars and workshops.
As attorney at Ludwig & Van Dam, you serve franchisees and franchisors in various sectors and you advise and litigate for catering and Quick Service Restaurant chains, supermarkets and other retail formulas, fitness companies, but also for formulas in the healthcare and services sector.
You not only advise our clients in the field of franchise law, but also in many other areas, such as in the field of:
- restructurings;
- acquisitions;
- tenancy law; and
- general contract law.
Where necessary, we litigate, unburdening the attorneys with good litigation support, so that many procedural formalities are taken care of for you. You are also supported by a secretarial staff, so that you can really focus on your core legal tasks.
Franchise experience is not necessary. Some relevant process and work experience is required and we will teach you the rest on the job .

We are located in a beautiful and stately building on the Parklaan, in the middle of the city and on the Park (near the Euromast). And if you want to have a drink with friends or colleagues after office hours, the restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. Despite the fact that we are in the middle of the city, we provide good parking.
Own room
Each attorney has his own room with air conditioning and Apple equipment and directly accessible ICT support. That way you can work comfortably, but if you want to catch up, everyone’s room (door) is open for that. In addition, we work paperless as much as possible and all our files are fully available in the cloud .
