Franchise Statistics
Since 2007, Ludwig & Van Dam Advocaten has been periodically publishing franchise statistics on franchise disputes based on published judgements. These statistics contain all judgments of both Courts (which also include subdistrict court judges) and Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. These statistics have been drawn up on the basis of an overview over a long period of time. In addition, we naturally also assess individual statements that are relevant to the franchise practice.
In this way, insight is gained into long-term trends and developments, so that a better grip on a legal issue can also be obtained in existing and future disputes. After all, substantiated factual knowledge about how judges ruled in similar cases is indispensable when assessing the opportunities and risks and when advising on the strategy to be used to resolve possible disputes in our client’s favor or even to prevent a dispute.
