Alex Dolphijn has corporate law as his background and started his career in the international (litigation) practice of mergers & acquisitions in 2003. In 2008 he completed the specialization course “Company and Business” at the Grotius Academy. Complex legal matters attract his attention and that is why he has specialized in franchise law from a corporate law perspective. He also focuses on financial law aspects (Wft, Bgfo NRgfo, Wck and Bk) in franchise relationships. His practice consists of guiding and advising on the restructuring of franchisor organizations, conducting due diligence investigations, supervising change processes, setting up consultative structures and franchisees’ associations, joint ventures and share transactions. In addition to advising and assisting, he has extensive litigation experience in, for example, conducting summary proceedings, inquiry proceedings, arbitrations and (provisional) witness hearings. In addition, franchisees of supermarket organizations, among others, are also assisted by him, given the many years of experience and expertise in the field of franchise law in that specific sector. He regularly publishes legal articles on franchise law in legal journals. At the request of publishers, Alex Dolphijn also writes professional literature for hospitality entrepreneurs and accountants and he is also an editor of the scientific legal journal Franchise & Rechtinformatiebron (F&R).
